It is with great pleasure that we announce our Club Coach for Season 23-24 - Brett Russell!! • Brett has been with the club since 2015. • Brett has been apart of NSW Indigenous cricket development over the years and during that time he has had the opportunity to be mentored by some really inspiring coaches. He has also been able to gain valuable knowledge and experiences playing in many different teams over the years and combining all that experience into his own cricket philosophy. • Brett has had the opportunity to play with the NSW Indigenous Team, Sydney Sixers Rookie in BBL 04 & Captain the Sydney Sixers Indigenous team over the last few years. Since being on the Coast he has played in the Central Coast Open Men's Team for a number of years. From Brett: “I am looking forward to the opportunity to be able to help evolve and share my knowledge of the game with Warnervale Cricket Club. I have been committed as a player to this club over a number of years and now i have the opportunity to be able to contribute to the club as the club coach. I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge and help develop the next generation of players coming through this wonderful club.” Brett will also continue to be our First Grade Skipper. Plenty of time to hit the beach all afternoon 🌊⛱👌 2) WE ARE COMMITTED AND LOCKED IN RIGHT ACROSS SUMMER👎 ALL Junior teams break across the Christmas Holiday period. Cricket understands we all need some quality R & R at the end of the year. 👍✈️🏖🛳 3) MY CHILD COULD GET OUT FIRST BALL AND JUST HAVE TO SIT AROUND👎 ALL Stage One Juniors U10 face a minimum number of approx. 20 balls regardless of if they get out or not! 👍🏏 ALL Junior players will rotate through bowling and fielding duties each game👍 4) ALL THE EQUIPMENT YOU NEED IS EXPENSIVE AND THEY MIGHT NOT PLAY AGAIN👎 ALL Wildcat Junior teams have a team kit with all essentials available for use. We would like to welcome back our Director of Junior Cricket, Brad Cowmeadow. We know that Brad will do another awesome job this season. From Brad: I have been part of the Warnervale cricket club for the past five years as a club coach and the past two years as Director of Junior cricket. Being a club coach has been an amazing experience. I have been able to see the players grow their skills and having fun playing. Becoming the Director of Junior cricket has allowed me to take an interest in all the junior players and coaches. I really enjoy checking the teams progress and results and also looking at individual achievements. I think the toughest part of my role is picking the player of the round each week. I am looking forward to the upcoming season and hope to see all our existing players return as well as all the new faces.

We would like to welcome our new Director of Women's Cricket, Kylie Chant! We know how passionate Kylie is about her cricket and will do a great job this season! From Kylie: I am going into my 5th season playing for the club. My 2 sons also play for the club. This is my first year as Director of Women's Cricket. Taking on this position, I am hoping to increase the number of teams for this year, make sure we all have a great season so that everyone comes back next year.

We would love to welcome back our Treasurer Angela Brennan for another year. Angela has helped out enormously over the last few years with our finances and will do another incredible job this season. From Angela: This is my third year as Treasurer for the club and my third year being involved as a parent. My son plays in under 12's. Our family loves cricket and we enjoy being a part of the club, watching the games and helping out at training and the games each week. It's great to see the enjoyment the kids get from the game and the skills that they are learning as the years progress from our dedicated coaching team. We are looking forward to many more years with Warnervale Cricket Club.

We would like introduce to you our new Secretary Angela Russell! Angela will also once again take on the Sponsorship Manager role. We know she will do an awesome job this season. From Angela: "Warnervale Wildcats has been a big part of my family for a while now. My eldest daughter has just started her first season in the junior program and my husband has been at the club for over 7 years. Some say I’m crazy that I’m at almost every game on Saturdays with my girls but to me it’s just like a family ritual. I took on the role of sponsorship manager by chance last season and after a while I wanted to help more. This season as Secretary and Sponsorship Manager I just want to help with more of the same. It’s been great getting to know more people in the club, everyone has always been so welcoming and I’m hoping I can just bring everyone together and make it all run smoother.”

From Chris: "I have been involved with Warnervale Wildcats Cricket Club since 2008, as a parent, a coach, a player and committee member. Now as Vice President, I will serve our club ensuring it continues to grow and experience success on and off the field. The club definitely lives up to it’s title as ‘The Family Club’. It’s been fantastic to have the opportunity to watch my own children develop through the junior years and then play alongside my son as he progressed through the senior grades. From Michael: "I have been involved with our club since 2010, I was Director of Junior Cricket for 10 seasons and am now going into my 3rd season as President! I love this club and all who are involved. I wanted a place for everyone to enjoy playing our great game, no matter their skill level or talent. Each member should be treated the same. After all, we all love this game. I have had the privilege of coaching both my boys for many years and are now lucky enough to be playing alongside them. I have now also been lucky enough to coach my daughter in an all girls team and in an all girls grade! We truly are the Family Club."
